Arris Enhances DOCSIS 3.1 Portfolio and Unveils Touchstone Development Partner Program
Arris International reported that it expanded its portfolio of DOCSIS 3.1 devices--including, modems, broadband gateways, and telephony gateways--to anticipate the needs of its increasingly diverse global customer base.
The Company noted that it also launched its Touchstone Development Partner Program, enabling partners to enhance the subscriber experience on the tens of millions of Touchstone devices shipped each year.
According to a media release, Arris's comprehensive DOCSIS 3.1 portfolio now includes three gateways to meet the needs of every gigabit service tier for service providers large and small.
-The new Arris TG3442 offers gigabit broadband speeds and delivers whole-home video over Wi-Fi at an entry-level price point.
-The performance-tier TG3452 telephony gateway increases performance for supporting even faster speeds and carrier-grade video over Wi-Fi services.
-And the premium-tier TG3462 telephony gateway adds multiple IoT radios and 8x8 Wi-Fi to deliver the fastest-possible speeds and best connectivity for next-generation connected-home services.

Arris said that it is launching the Touchstone Development Partner Program in recognition of the broadband gateway's paramount importance as a hub of the connected home. The program opens up the Arris Touchstone platform to software development partners around the world--enabling subscriber experiences on the tens of millions of Touchstone devices shipped each year and a deployed base of millions more.

Papyrus Joins Forces with Designer Lela Rose
Papyrus is looking to bring the “elegance and style” of fashion to its greeting cards via a new designer collaboration series.
According to a release, the collaboration marks the first time a fashion design house and greeting card brand have joined forces to develop a custom greeting card collection.
Papyrus said it is partnering with American fashion designer Lela Rose to introduce the series. Rose will feature her "sophisticated yet modern style" in the debut card and gift collection, slated to launch during New York Fashion Week. The collection will be available in New York City Papyrus stores and select retailers in September, with availability expanding to all Papyrus locations and retailers in October.
"The fashion designer collaboration series is a celebration of the commitment Papyrus has to the arts, including a focus on the fashion industry, quality craftsmanship and trend-forward design," said Christy Kaprosy, President of Papyrus-Recycled Greetings. The company noted the collection, which draws inspiration from some of Rose's recent runway designs, consists of 16 cards and five gift accessories, including gift bags, gift tissue, roll wrap and a gift tag set. It also will be available online at papyrusonline.com
